We made it through another “I” hurricane. Last year, Ian hit right after I returned from my annual writer’s conference at St. Pete Beach. This year’s I storm came a little early. Thankfully Idalia missed us for the most part, although it did spin up a few tornadoes since we were on the eastern side of the storm. Getting a tornado warning at four in the morning to “seek shelter now!” will wake you up better than coffee ever could.
Blake Jordan #10 is… well… it’s coming along. I stopped writing at the midpoint because I wanted to meet with my developmental editor in LA. She had a lot of good feedback which I’ll use as I sprint to the finish and write the second half of the story.
As far as audiobooks go, I’ve commissioned my cover designer to create the audiobook covers for books #1-10 (including the new one that I’m writing). And my narrator, John Pirhalla, finished recording of THE SENATOR and starting next month will record one book a month until they’re all done. So once I finish writing the new story, getting the entire series out in audio will be the next thing I tackle. By the way, John totally nailed all of the characters. I’m excited for you to hear his performance!
I hope you had a great summer. Now it’s time to buckle down and get to work. -Ken
